Formally trained at Berklee College of Music, I have been playing bass for over 30 years..  I have love and appreciation for all types of music, with groove (of all types) and jazz improvisation being the areas that I am most passionate about.  I have played in a multitude of bands and musical settings including funk, fusion, rock, electronica and jazz.

As a teacher, I am passionate about sharing all of my knowledge with my students to help them reach their musical goals.  I believe in the importance of developing a solid foundation in music theory with an emphasis in practical application.  Understanding the nuts and bolts of music will equip the player with the freedom to play effectively and creatively with other musicians in real time, which for me is where the magic of music can really be experienced.
